School HIV Prevention Project

In addition, the African Initiatives based in the UK funded a TAWREF “School HIV Prevention” Project which was launched in October 2016 aiming at working with 12 schools , 6 from Moshi Municipal Council and 6 from Moshi District Council. The strategy is working with 720 children at risk of HIV infection by capacitating them to avoid risky behaviors, become change agents, gain confidence and take responsibility for an AIDS Free generation. The project is also working with 36 teachers,1,000 parents and 36 local leaders to transform children's mindsets and behaviors and reduce harm caused by HIV transmission on them.
